Ultem Parts

The juicing parts of the DA-1200 are made from a FDA food grade, heat-resistant and BPA free polycarbonate called Ultem. These parts work together in a 3 stage system, crushing and then squeezing the produce through a “mortar and pestle” action and then refining by straining the fibre from the juice. The juicing screen of the DA-1200 has also been improved, now giving a higher yield and reducing the chances of clogging.

Slow & Powerful

The Oscar DA-1200 features a powerful 200 watt motor, which is an increase from previous Oscar models. This extra power ensures that the wide-mouth style juicing mechanism can efficiently juice more fruits and vegetables at any given time. The 200W motor provides more torque resulting in higher extraction and less foam/froth. The Oscar DA-1200 has an RPM (rotations per minute) of 63-75, which is the optimum speed for juicing a 15% increase in produce at any given time through the juicer. This combination of a more powerful motor and slightly slower RPM ensures that while the juicing and prep time is shortened, the nutritional and taste qualities of the juice remains the same.

Wide-Mouth

Featuring a 15% wider juicing chute, there is less preparation required before juicing. The DA-1200 is unique in this regard and improvements have been made to the drum, strainers and auger to accommodate for the extra produce that will be able to fit down the chute.

Pulp Regulator

The DA-1200 comes equipped with a removable 5-stage pulp regulator, which, when used properly, allows the maximum yield of juice to be extracted from produce. Use stage 1 for soft produce like tomatoes, kiwi, apples, and citrus; stage 3 for medium produce like melons, cucumbers, and firm apples; and stages 4-5 for both hard produce like root vegetables, as well as leafy greens, herbs, pine needles, or even young barley.

Nutrient-Rich Juice

The popular 3-step crushing system crushes its organic contents breaking open the cell wall allowing the release of vitamins, enzymes and minerals that our body then finds easy to absorb during the digestion process. The low impact process also minimises exposure to air, which means the decaying process is slowed down significantly allowing for the long shelf life of your juice. The juice created is truly alive and can be stored and consumed for up to 48 hours. This allows you to be confident with bulk juicing and storing large quantities in your fridge that can be used over a couple of days.

The Oscar DA-1200 excels at this in particular, juicing larger portions at any given time with the new wider juicing chute.
