It is a widely known fact that consuming large quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables is crucial to maintaining a healthy life, but meeting the recommended daily intake of nutrients is challenging for many people. Hurom’s founder and chairman, Youngki Kim wanted to help people discover a way to incorporate nature into their lives in its purest form. It was his pursuit of new ideas to help people consume nutrients from plants in more effective and natural ways that led him to found Hurom.

In designing Hurom slow juicers, Hurom focused on preventing nutrient loss due to heat and oxidation by implementing a method that minimizes oxygen and heat exposure. Hurom slow juicers feature a chamber assembly for compressing the ingredients, consisting of an auger, juice strainer, and spinning brush, and an AC motor assembly, which generates minimal noise. The two compartments are detachable, making it easy to disassemble and reassemble the machine. Hurom juicers are also equipped with an advanced safety lock system that makes it impossible to turn on the motor unless all the pieces are locked into place properly.
Hurom’s goal is to allow all their customers to enjoy a variety of fresh juices every day with ease. The Hurom Slow Juicer is capable of processing hard and soft fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, nuts, and soy to make a variety of juices, milks, sauces, marinades, baby food, fresh soymilk, nut milks, and tofu.
In between different ingredients, you can give the juicer a quick wash with the juice cap closed, which is a feature that makes it much more convenient to juice ingredients separately. Wash the juicer with the cleaning brush and rinse under running water when you are done juicing all the ingredients. The juicer’s components are all detachable, allowing for more thorough cleaning.

The Red Dot Design Award, where high-quality products created by designers from all around the world are examined, judged, and selected to receive prizes, is one of the most renowned design awards in the world. Hurom have won this prestigious award for several of their innovative, highly functional slow juicer models including the HH-SBF06 model in 2013 and the HW-SBF15 model in 2015.
iF Product Design Award
Along with Germany’s Red Dot Design Award and the United States’ International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), the iF Product Design Award is one of the most highly regarded design awards in the world. This event has been held in Hanover, Germany, since 1953. Hurom’s slow juicers received high scores in over 10 criteria, including practicality, safety, durability, creativity, and design quality, leading Hurom to win a total of three product design awards for our HH-SBF06 and HK-BBF06 models in 2014 and our HW- SBF15 model in 2015.
International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA)
Often compared to Hollywood’s Academy Awards in terms of scale and reputation, the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) is an award program sponsored by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). As the most prestigious design award in North America, the IDEA is considered to be among the top three design awards in the world, along with the Red Dot Award and iF Product Design Award. In 2013, Hurom were selected as a Bronze Winner by the prestigious award program for their HH-SBF06 model.
International Invention Awards
In 2010 , Hurom hit a grand slam by winning the top three international invention awards in Geneva, Pittsburgh, and Nuremberg. With Hurom’s proactive participation in various invention exhibitions all around the world, their technical expertise has garnered significant recognition.
